Why Support Youth Sports

According to the 2020 CDC data brief, roughly half of kids aged 6-17 years old in the United States participated in sports. Sports team participation is closely associated with improved physical and mental health that extends beyond adolescence and into adulthood.

The greatest impact to children and adolescents participating in youth sports is parental education and economic status. Less than 36% of children and adolescents living at or below the national poverty level with parents having a high school or below education level, play an organized sport.

Sponsors play a vital role in developing the next generation of citizens who are fully prepared to join society with the tools needed to succeed. Many youth sports organizations are fully funded by contributions by parents including registration fees, uniforms, equipment and transportation to practices and games.

Sponsors who contribute to organizations like Georgia District 8 Little League are directly impacting the youth within our community. Contributions and sponsorship funds go directly to the cost of umpires, fields and grounds, equipment and the general administration of the district. Lowering these costs lowers the cost of registration and answers the problem of low income families being able to participate in sports.

With a wide range of sponsorship opportunities, partners have the flexibility to contribute as they are able. From player assistance funds to naming rights sponsorship opportunities, everyone is able to help shape our future generation.

The opportunities listed below are not all inclusive and we encourage partners to reach out with creative leverage ideas and partnership opportunities.
